Khurrum Wahid is a partner at Wahid Vizcaino LLP. He has over 100 jury trials in a wide range of federal and state matters in civil, administrative, and criminal fields. He was recognized by New Times Magazine as lawyer of the year in 2007 and has been recognized as one of Florida Trend Magazines Legal Elite in the area of criminal law since 2011 as well as Superlaywers since 2018.
His practice focuses on white collar crime, complex fraud matters, and national security cases. Khurrum sits on the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ National Security Committee. He frequently is invited to speak at conferences, community meetings, and professional forums. Khurrum has testified on civil rights issues several times before various government organizations, including once before the New York City Council and twice before the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
With the experience of over 50 jury trials under her belt, Carmen Maria Vizcaino is a member of the Florida Bar, the Bar for the Southern District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Her practice of over 20 years has included litigation in the areas of Criminal, Family and USDA Snap litigation.
Carmen was born, raised and educated in Miami Dade County, the daughter of Cuban immigrants. She worked her way through school at Florida International University, first as a court reporter and then as legal secretary. Working full time during the day and attending night school, she graduated Magna Cum Laude and secured a full merit scholarship to law school.
In her over twenty years of practice Carmen has litigated high-profile cases in both State and Federal Courts in South Florida. Carmen has worked on several national security cases in New York, Virginia and Florida. Carmen also handles death penalty and sexual violent predator civil committment cases, both are handled by only a select few Miami attorneys.
David Geller has extensive experience in Government at the federal, state, and local levels. David served as Legislative Counsel to Congressman and Former Governor Charlie Crist, Legislative Staff to Florida Senator Annette Taddeo, and most recently as Chief of Staff to Broward County Mayor Steve Geller (no relation).
David has been active in Democratic Party politics for more than 20 years and has advised political campaigns at all levels of government. Most recently, David successfully managed his wife’s (Lucia Baez-Geller) campaign for Miami-Dade County School Board. David is an elected precinct committeeperson, and serves on multiple boards and committees of the Democratic Party.
David has practiced law in the areas of business transactions, regulatory and compliance, banking and finance, health law, intellectual property, and civil litigation. One highlight of David’s legal career is his successful representation of an intellectual property client before the United States Supreme Court.
